Eyebrow Ptosis

At Eyelid & Facial Consultants, patients rarely come in requesting a brow lift. This is because when the eyebrows droop they cause excess skin to appear in the upper eyelids. As a result, patients who need a brow lift nearly always present requesting upper eyelid surgery. At Eyelid & Facial Consultants, we take pride in our ability to improve the appearance of the upper eyelids with a brow lift.

Typically, an eyebrow lift involves the surgeon cutting the skin above the brow (direct brow lift) or just behind the hairline (pretricheal brow lift) so there is no visible scar. Another frequently performed procedure involves an incision and scar transversing the scalp from ear-to-ear (coronal brow lift). However, at Eyelid & Facial Consultants, we most commonly recommend an endoscopic eyebrow lift whereby the surgeon utilizes enhanced tools, including a miniature camera, to make tiny incisions behind the hairline to delicately lift the eyebrow. The endoscopic brow lift procedure is much less invasive and has reduced recovery time compared to the aforementioned procedures.

Eyelid & Facial Consultants aims to make every patient feel comfortable and secure. If you have any questions or concerns or would like more information, please call (504) 895-3223 to set up a consultation with one of our specialists.
