What to Expect on Your First Visit

On your first visit to Eyelid & Facial Consultants, you will be greeted in our reception area and asked to complete our intake questionnaire. Many of our patients choose to complete this questionnaire prior to arrival. The intake questionnaire can be downloaded here. You should be prepared to provide your insurance information and a photo ID. Our staff will then escort you to one of our comfortable consultation rooms. One of our technicians will take your medical history and the doctor will then complete your personal consultation. After a discussion of your goals with the doctor, a physical examination will allow a focused and thorough review of the available surgical options. You will have an opportunity to discuss any concerns and to review your treatment plan. Our surgeons are experts in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and face and will give you the time and attention needed to allow you to feel comfortable with your treatment plan.

Once you have completed your consultation with the doctor, you will be introduced to our support staff. Our patient coordinator will help you with scheduling your procedure and is available to answer any additional questions you may have. For patients having reconstructive surgery, our patient coordinator will guide you through the insurance preauthorization process. The preauthorization process can take up to 3 weeks to complete.
